Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Atlantis Office Limited collects when you use our website, order from us or contact us, why we collect it, who we share it with and your rights. We are a small, family-run business and we only collect what we need to deal with your order or enquiry. We never sell your information.
Who we are
Atlantis Office Limited is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact us at:
Atlantis Office Limited, 11C Stephenson Rd, Clacton-on-Sea CO15 4XA
Email: sales@atlantisoffice.com
Phone: 01206 688770
What we collect
- Contact and delivery details: your name, company name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses.
- Order details: what you buy, prices, delivery instructions and any returns.
- Payment details: payments are handled securely by Shopify and our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Messages: what you tell us when you email, call or use our contact form, for example a question, a quote request or details about your space.
- Mailing list: your email address, if you sign up for our emails.
- Website use: information about your device and how you use our website (for example pages viewed and your IP address), collected through cookies. See "Cookies" below.
Why we use it
- To deal with your order: to take payment, arrange delivery, assembly or installation, handle returns and keep you updated. We need this to carry out our contract with you.
- To answer your questions and send quotes you ask for. This is in our legitimate interest in running our business and helping you.
- To keep records for tax and accounting, as the law requires.
- To send you offers and news, only if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by emailing us.
- To keep our website working and secure and to understand how it is used, so we can improve it. Non-essential cookies are only used with your consent.
Who we share it with
We only share what is needed, with:
- The manufacturer or supplier of your furniture and their delivery company, so they can make and deliver your order (your name, delivery address, phone number and delivery instructions).
- Shopify, which runs our online shop, checkout and emails, and our payment providers, who process your payment.
- Reviews.io, which runs our customer reviews. If we invite you to review your order, your name, email address and order details are shared with them for that purpose.
- Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers, where needed.
- The police, HMRC or other authorities, if the law requires it.
Some of these companies (for example Shopify) store information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK approved safeguards, such as adequacy regulations or standard contract clauses.
How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: 6 years after the end of the financial year, as required for tax.
- Enquiries and quotes that do not lead to an order: up to 2 years.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies make the shop work (for example remembering your basket). With your permission we also use cookies to understand how the website is used and to improve it. When you first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law (for example invoices);
- object to, or ask us to limit, how we use your information;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our emails;
- ask us to transfer your information to someone else.
To use any of these rights, email sales@atlantisoffice.com. We will reply within one month. There is normally no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
